Worst Air Pollution In Bkk?

Featured Replies

Which area in BKK would you all say has the WORST AIR POLLUTION?

I heard recently that the Rangsit area is quite bad for air pollution because of all the crap that's being blown in from the center of BKK. Would you all agree with this statement?

How would you compare the air pollution in Rangsit to that of Nonthburi?

china town area!!!.......need gasmask folks

Of the Pollution Control Department's (PCD) measurement stations in Bangkok, Din Daeng is regularly the worst. Since 2005 the yearly average pollution (PM<10) levels have been 50-80% above the PCD maximum limit of 50 µg/m3. There have also been between 33-78 days/year with a daily average in excess of the PCD limit of 120µg/m3.

If you look at the "Greater Bangkok" area though, both Sara Buri and Samut Prakarn are much worse.

/ Priceless

I have a friend in Rangsit. Just walking around his neighborhood it feels less polluted but I have no scientific data to back it up. However near the highways it's the same as anywhere in Thailand. Very toxic.
