Why Is Thai Visa Forum The Most Obnoxious Forum On The Internet?

I read Thai Visa a lot, although I almost never post. That's chiefly because this is the most obnoxious forum on the internet.

I've been a member of lots of other forums, all types really, because I have a broad range of interests, but this forum takes the cake for flaming and mean-spirited comments. The internet, because of its anonymity I guess, brings out the worst in people, but why is it so bad here?

Is it that expats in Thailand are a particularly ill-tempered bunch (that's my best guess)? Or some other reason?

Any comments?

I'm sure the Thais are somehow behind it LOL.

Its a very embarrasing forum i find. This is becuase of the silly tight rules and pathetic threads.

Yeah there a a lot of cranky old bast@rds here, but you gotta admit its better than watching thai tv, and there is some genuine helpful info you just gotta look and dismiss whats not helpful.

I doubt it's the most obnoxious forum, or even the most obnoxious Thailand related forum on the net.

To be honest, whilst there is a fair bit of nastiness flying around on TV, I find it considerably worse on the less stringently moderated Thailand related forums.

I also don't see this thread lasting long, too much of a temptation for muck slinging.
