Is it easy to pick up a pre-pay sim card for a thai mobile network? Is it simply a case of buying a sim and putting it into an 'unlocked' mobile phone?

I use 12call, just buy it from 7/11. When I phone the UK I put 008 in front of 44 and my calls cost 4 baht per minute to landline or mobile. Compare that with your UK mobile charges!
