I apologise if the answer to this is elsewhere in the forum but I was unable to find it.

I already hold a marriage visa and a work permit and will be renewing the marriage visa in the future. Is it a requirement to hold a work permit to get an extension to a marriage visa or is it possible without a work permit?

I thought it was simply a matter of showing the money in the bank but I have been told also that I need to keep my work permit.

I am not sure as a result. Does anyone here know?

Thanks

For the 400,000 baht in the bank option you do not need to show a work permit. Just remember the account must be in your name only now.

If you were using tax payments for the income option it would be needed.

To the OP.

I moved a post from another topic you did.

Your question has already been answered.

But if you are still working you will need a work permit.

Work Permit not always required.

If a contractor you can get a letter from the embassy, you have to have a letter from the company you are contracted to stating salary over 40,000baht, then use this letter at Immigration.
