Opera Browser

Featured Replies

If it's possible (I can't find it) how do you set the colour management in Opera so that it reads the embedded colour profile accurately instead of converting everything to sRGB.

Thanks

Sorry, I have some difficulties to understand what you want to achieve?

If you want check the color profile of an image you should use Photoshop.

What I want to do is see an image correctly with whatever embedded profile it contains. i.e. I upload images in RGB to my stock library as they insist. If I view them in Safari which is a colour optimised and corrected browser I see them correctly. However, when using Opera, the colours are inaccurate and I was wondering if Opera had a tool anywhere to address this.

Hope this explains a little better

Opera seems not to be ready yet http://www.gballard.net/psd/go_live_page_p...EGprofiles.html

Look under "List of Un-Managed Browsers". Not sure if this is the very updated information

May have to go to the Opera forum on this one.  They would know what plug-in it needs.  Mine is running most the time on linux, but I use it in windows and file pictures look as good as any other browser in both OS's.  I have seamonkey Firefox Opera and IE.  I use the Opera as my mine browser as I have for years, and I use them all to check my html before running it to my intranet server.  So images count in that test alot.  I do know that after the last Opera update my old laptop does not run Opera as well as it did before.  Not just images but tabs are messed as well.  Thats an old intel vid chips on board.  Have yet to take time to see if it can be fixed.

Thank you both for coming back. The link you provided "webfact" is indeed the very source of my alarm. When I open in Safari all is perfect, but Opera - wow!

Oh well, Safari it is from here on in.

Thanks a lot
