Just A Suggestion ..........

Featured Replies

In the "evaluate my photo" forum do you think the following might simplify things?

1) submit anything shot whether you’re proud of it or want an opinion as to how it can be improved.

2) Supply the technical details if looking for improvement

3) load up thumbnail at 1200 x 800 and 300 dpi and then members can download and adjust

4) Single shots only unless it’s a story line you’ve captured

5) Accept the members input be it acclaim or criticism

And that’s it - keeps it dead simple and we’ll all learn from the input

And maybe the members can be a bit more constructive and say:-

“I like it because.................

“ I think it would have been better had you ..................

What dy’a think?

I think we basically have that except for the size suggestion.

a 300 dpi image at 1200 x 800 works out to about a 500kb jpeg, so that is a pretty good idea, but when it is a vertical most won't have 1200 vertical pixels available, so they will have to view in a secondary program.

Also of course images come in many dimensions so I think we could strongly suggest a 1200px max dimension or a 800 pix min at 300 dpi. Many will arrive at 72dpi of course which is how I have been uploading mine. I guess I should change too.

I don't think we can really regulate comments however. This is this internet not a private club.
