Escape The Hustle & Bustle

We recently took a short break from the hustle & bustle of Hua Hin and ventured south to the Bangsaphan area (about 200km) to see if anything had changed recently.

Ban Krut beach road has developed dramatically over the last few years, but still seems to be lacking any sort of entertainment outside the Hotels & Resorts.

Bangsaphan remains pretty much the same. We were however pleasently surprised to find that at last there is an outlet catering for the falang in Bangsapahn Guest House, although they are located in town and not on the beach at least there is now somewhere to relax and unwind in a clean friendly family atmosphere that caters for our needs, ie. Beer & falang food and with clean accomodation, all at very competitive prices. :)

We said we would give them a plug!

I forgot to mention how nice and quiet the beach was, none of the hustle and bustle of the vendors that we found on Hua Hin beaches, or the deck chairs, that do get in the way when you are looking to have a stroll. There were also some really nice friendly beach bars, especially Coca Coca bar. Montri (the bar man) spoke English which we found very useful.

Also visited the island 'Koh Talu' which was exceptional for snorkeling, just a 20 minute boat ride away.

Going back to the Guest House in Town, we were able to get in touch with the family in England for free, and had a long chat with them on Skype, as the guest house did not charge for WiFi, brilliant!
