If the main purpose is just for the 'show'

Then you can go to the road side and buy those imitation thick gold chians etc at such cheap prices . Nobody will suspect the difference if not holding the chain up to examine closely.

You can have them for 'show' once in a while during any festival or family affairs.

Cheap and looks good!

ps

The 'sell back' to the shop ( real gold ) will cause you a depreciation of around 25 percent of the actual gold price. :)

I can imagine the horror of the family if you try to pass off junk for show :):D:D

Thai girls wont fall for it. They know GOLd!

Actually it is more like 5%; plus the workmanship fee of a few hundred baht.

18 May buy 14781

18 May sell 15500

Borrow it from the future in laws it's only for show. That way it never leaves their sight.

There is no requirement to show except for your ***. Be a man, stand up and wed your bride. If money is demanded then it might be better spent at Nana Plaza

I do apologise, but I thought the OP was concerning Jewelry for a female...??!! If it's a bloke, don't bother, it is about how many Baht you have in your wallet and what you are paying for both now and in the future what counts.

There's no point in turning up like 'Mr T' from the 'A Team' bedecked in Chains and Medallions, they wouldn't be that impressed at all, their main concerns are for their daughter and themselves, not how your Jewelry suits you.

Sorry if this seems abrasive. Good Luck :)
