Many of you probably have not been able to see Doi Suthep or Doi Pui in the last few days with all the clouds and rain, but the mountains have turned green from all the rain. Took a mountain bike ride yesterday and was amazed at the plant growth on the sides of the trails and roads. Many of the dry streams are now swollen with water. And yep, leeches were out as were a few small snub nosed boa-like snakes. Three weeks ago the mountains looked so brown, but the rains have changed all that. Will be beautiful, once we can see it! The green of rainy season in Northern Thailand is here!

Agree, the view of Doi Sutep is beautiful.  Where about you go mountain bike T_Dog?  700 years stadium? That place has a killer view too.

The 700 year stadium area does have some nice riding. Lately I've been hitting trail from Doi Pui, North side out to Bann Pong Yang Nye which is up the Mae Sa Valley ride. Also like to ride out on the South side to Doi Pla Klong. Lots of single track up there. Yesterday though, just hit some trails down lower as it was so wet. What kind of riding do you like to do? The rainy season is not too good for the serious single-track as the trails are darn steep in places and it gets slick. But a few days of clear and it should be okay.
