Immigration will visit me to fact-checking visa extension
I live in an condo building where everyone minds their own business, no one talks to anyone, they only vent on the Line group like children. The only one who could act as a witness is the security guard (if it's his shift). -

Can you catch diseases from toilet seats?
Can you catch diseases from toilet seats? As you sink down onto a toilet seat used by hundreds of other people the same day, you might be wondering: how long do pathogens survive in bathrooms? Once you set foot in a public toilet, it can be impossible to resist the overwhelming feeling of "ick". The sight of urine splattered on the toilet seat and the floor, the pungent scent of somebody else's bodily fluids – it can really slam against your senses. You might open the stall door with your elbow, flush with your foot, or drape the entire seat in toilet paper and execute a squat if you find the whole thing too gross to contemplate. But can you actually catch diseases from merely sitting on the seat? Or are the elaborate techniques some people use to avoid contact completely unnecessary? Here's what microbiologists have to say. What you (probably) won't catch "Theoretically, yes [you can catch diseases from the toilet seat], but the risk is vanishingly low," says Jill Roberts, a professor of public health and microbiology at the University of South Florida. Report Thailand Enforces Liveness Detection for SIM Card Registration
I don't get it, as you have to visit them with your original passport anyway, why do they worry about "static images"? The last time I went to AIS to do the identity verification, THEY took my picture with their tablet. -

North Korea's Kim calls for rapid nuclear buildup
North Korea's Kim calls for rapid nuclear buildup SEOUL, Aug 19 (Reuters) - North Korean leader Kim Jong Un said his country needed to rapidly expand its nuclear armament and called U.S.-South Korea military exercises an "obvious expression of their will to provoke war," state media KCNA reported on Tuesday. South Korea and its ally the United States kicked off joint military drills this week, including testing an upgraded response to heightened North Korean nuclear threats. Pyongyang regularly criticises such drills as rehearsals for invasion and sometimes responds with weapons tests, but Seoul and Washington say they are purely defensive. The 11-day annual exercises, called Ulchi Freedom Shield, will be on a similar scale to 2024 but adjusted by rescheduling 20 out of 40 field training events to September, South Korea's military said earlier. Those delays come as South Korean President Lee Jae Myung says he wants to ease tensions with North Korea, though analysts are sceptical about Pyongyang's response.
