Is it crime in Thailand if somebody sends you a dirty SMS like "<deleted> you"....something like that ?

What are the consequences possible ?

Posted

Since one sees young cuties with similar (and worse) slogans on their t-shirts I doubt it very much.

What would be the penalty in your home country?

A few years ago, I called the Police when a British pensioner was on the ground with a nasty head wound. After some mugging...

The drunk guy kept shouting such abuse at the cop who tried to help him on his feet.

Nothing happened. - In Germany, you can expect a day in court and a steep fine of >100,000 Baht for less, like saying something once.

Q: would anyone press charges?

Written on the walls are different than you humiliate or say and In case when you have enough proof of sender.

In My country it is crime whether it is sent in the form of written media or digital media.

I have an idea, go visit the nearest BIB station and ask them. Please feel free to report your findings.

Please explain what law has been broken in your country? It would help understand I feel.

In UK it could be harrassement, (though not for just once i doubt) or sexual harrasment, or intimidation, but again, not just once.

I cant really see the public interest in persuing one abusive text, so I am guessing there is a deeper back story?

Tell us all.

And since I suspect you are not from UK, Rozzers are just the Filth. Hope that clears that up

Some of my friends (Who's first bird was in the late '60's) are now refering to Hendon's finest as "The Teenagers"

So we could call then the Kevins? (Appologies to Harry E.)

Tell us all.

M1 (Man1) had great long term relationship with W1(woman1).

After recession, W1 lost great job > W1 come in contact with M2(CEO of some comp.) to get job > W1 into M2 > M1 tried to contact W1 > no response from W1 long time > M1 tried recently > M2 cut phone > M2 sent abusive message to M1.

I pissed off, i wanna teach him(or both) in proper way...a better lesson...I don't worry about paying to lawyer.

I am in Thailand...so no laws of UK or my home country will be applicable. But laws in my home country is v.strict. as starting post says in Germany too. I don't know about Thailand.Anyone here ?

Peelers is an old one, used for the same reason that 'Bobby' is used of course.

It is.

Because it's my aunt's surname. Peel.

Yes, that side of the family started the police force.

I'm sorry. :)
