Janene Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 I am writing on behalf of my family as we wish to apply for non-immigrant (3 month) visa to return to Thailand. (Apply from KL?) Currently we are living in Thailand. My husband and children are on Filipino passports, I am Australian. We have been living and working in Thailand for more than five years as volunteers with another foundation. Currently we are waiting for our own Foundation to be approved to continue charity work here in Phang Nga Thailand. Our current visas expire on June 7th and so we wish to make a trip to KL to obtain three month visas - this will give us time for the foundation registration to be completed. The visas I have viewed on line seem to all have at least one criteria we cannot fulfill. Hope someone can help us.
ubonjoe Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 You will need to show some documentation concerning your application for your new foundation to get the visas. I suggest you email the embassy and ask them what is required. Email: [email protected] or [email protected] The information on the KL website is poor to say the least. The from the ministry of foreign affairs website. http://www.mfa.go.th/web/2482.php?id=2489 other activities (Category "O") as follows: to stay with the family, to perfrom duties for the state enterprise or social welfare organizations, to stay after retirement for the elderly, to receive medical treatment, to be a sport coach as required by Thai Government, to be a contestant or witness for the judicial process. If you are unable to get a non-o the next best choice would be a tourist visa. With an extension from immigration that would give you 90 days to get things sorted out.
