Apple Care Warranty Extension?

My iMac has been in the repair shop 5 times and the 1 year guarantee is about to expire.

Any recommendations regarding extending the warranty?

5 times within first year sounds like a lemon to me,

was it same problem each time, and do you know what was repaired/replaced?

5 Times! What were the problems? Never had a problem with New Apple stuff.

You can buy an Apple Care package at Apple dealers (e.g. iStudio). Provided you buy before your 1 year warranty is up, you will get an additional 2 years warranty.

I'm about to take in in again for the 3 LCD replacement. Also had the DVD/CD drive replaced and a couple trips back for power supply problems.

Sounds like a lemon. If you were in the USA you could now ask for a replacement machine. But TiT, might be harder to get here.

Get the extended warranty at the Apple authorized dealer, or buy it online at http://store.apple.com/th

If you get it online make sure to register your machine with the warranty, the apple authorized dealer can do this for you, they'll need the serial number of your iMac.

I tried to get it replaced but as you say...TIT.

Got a big run around trying to get in contact with the boss at my dealer.

It's like dealing with children.

Least they can do is to change the motherboard, dealers in LOS are tricky and they never hold stock ( lots of grey market stuffs ) - think you should contact Apple Center directly ..
