I Need Some Help Pls.

Featured Replies

hello all.

i had a question.

my sister and i are going to thailand for a holiday. our parents (who are british) are actually living there teaching english. my sister and i both grew up in thailand but we have english citizenship / passports. i came to england for a bit to study and visit some relatives. i have been back to thailand last year for about 2 months btw and everything went smoothly. they stamped me in for 30 days and then i went to the malaysian border after 30 days and went out of thailand and came back in and i was stamped in for another 30 days so everything was fine. i did not need a visa for that trip at all.

But i am now told that the thai immigration has made the whole deal a lot harder. my sister and i were not planning on this and do not have any visas. we are leaving england on the 26th of june 09 and so we should be in thailand for the 27th of june 09. We are staying in thailand untill Sept 6. thats 72 days in thailand. but we are also planning on visiting malaysia for about 2 weeks shortly after entering thailand and then comming back into thailand to finish off the rest of the holiday.

If anyone has any infomation for us on what we need 2 do this, visas and etc, it would be very much appreciated. tnx a ton xx

A Double Entry Tourist Visa will do the trick. Apply by post to the Hull Consulate with no problem. http://www.thaiconsul.co.uk/

the days that you get in A Double Entry Tourist Visa. do they start from the day that you get your passport back from the Consulate or do they start when you enter thailand.

tnx xx

The Validity starts on the day it is issued. The 60 days entry start on the day you arrive in Thailand.

A double entry will be valid for 6 months. Meaning that you must enter for the second time within 6 months of it being issued.

Your first 60 day stay, begins when you enter Thailand. You usually have 90 days from the time the visa is issued to make use of the visa.

Sorry Lite Beer, I was replying at the same time.

The use before date of the visa starts on the date of issue (6 months later for a 2 entry in your case).

You 60 days will start on the date you enter the country.

You have as much right to reply to questions as I have :)

Although in the OPs case it is 6 months.
