I have just booked flights for September for under £400.

The Dubai/Bangkok/Dubai legs are on the A380 (if I had ben prepared to wait for 7 hours in Dubai airport BOTH return legs would have been on the A380.

I am sure there will some cheaper flights around but I am happy to commit now to that price - and the A380 is a bonus.

If you put this code in UKHSBC1, you get an extra tenner off too. Etihad are currently offering £351 from Manchester as well, good times! Ive booked with Qatar £371

what connection times do you have, I looked on their site, and got offers of £404, but the connections were terrible, over 12 hours in some cases. That is just no fun.

So what agent in the UK did you use??

I used Opodo, was coming up £398 from London, £388 with above code. All depends on your dates of course, im travelling in September.

I booked online with www.airlinenetwork.com

I think the price was £393, I leave Gatwick (there was a LHR option) at 21.15 and have a 2.5 hr wait in Dubai. The return leg is only an hour and a half? Sept 20 to Dec 1.

I also checked the airline's website and got the same £404 with poor connections.

crudy21 - I forgot about that offer - and I use the HSBC website everyday !!

Airline Network were showing Emirates offers that expire tonight ! There are virtually no flights left, and none in July.

I did a search for 17th July to 17th August and the cheapest result was Thai at £501

how is july for getting flights? the last few months there have been loads of special offers from emirates going to thailand, other airlines too. Was hoping that special deals will come along as the date gets closer?

edit: found it for 22 000 baht with a russian airline aeroflot stopping over in moscow for 2 hours in july but i've never even heard of them..

AEROFLOP :)

The bit I liked from Wiki was:-

"Aeroflot has been working towards redefining itself as a safe and reliable airline"

they seem to be pretty big - sure i've heard of their slogan before "Sincerely Yours.."

this part from wiki

"On 14 September 2008, Boeing 737-500, Aeroflot Flight 821 crashed. The flight was operated by Aeroflot-Nord in a service agreement with Aeroflot. The air traffic controller noted that the plane was climbing and descending erratically. He instructed the plane to abort the approach and to line back up with the runway. The plane confirmed that everything was fine but continued its approach. ATC again instructed it to abort the approach and to contact another controller. The plane again did not follow its instructions and the first controller checked back in with the flight and told it to go around. The plane crashed into railroad tracks in the city of Perm in the Ural region of Russia. There were no survivors"

pretty ballsy russian pilots then.. might give 'em a go :)
