I need and want a multiple entry "wife" type visa and what documents would be needed for me to bring to KL?

Would also like decent (fairly priced),accommodation near the consulate/embassy as well as some shopping in town

Any and all help is appreciated, they forum is getting so huge it can be hard to search

You can get it in KL or Penang.

Marriage certificate (plus copy) and copies of wifes house book and ID card. A bank book showing some money in the account. For KL about 100,000 baht seems to be the standard amount.

Marriage Certificate. Wife,s ID Card and house registration. There have been recent reports of at least 100,000 Baht in the bank being needed.

A letter from your Wife asking them to issue you a Multi Entry Non O Visa is never a bad idea.
