does anyone know if it is possible to get a certificate of the good conduct from the local police while not being a resident in the country?the person in question has been on the different type of visas in the country for about 4 years an now has a job offer in Canada for which he needs to obtain the said certificate.unfortunately the embassy does not assist on such matter reffering to the municipality in Belgium.

Believe he can get it from the police headquarters in BKK, of course that would only be for Thailand. he might also need one from belgium.

Look in the teacher section for more information about getting a police clearence.

that is actually an issue.she had been on and off in Thailand for the past 4 years.Canadian immigration law requires certificate from the country of origin but in Belgium they might justifiebly tell her that they can't vouch for someone been abcent 4 years in the country.so logically if most of the time she spent in Thailand that is prerogative of the Thai police.do they issue such a paper in Thai only?

Normaly governments require a police clearence from very country one has lived, so in this case Belgium and Thailand.
