Social Security Cover In Phuket: Can I Use It In Bangkok?

Featured Replies

I have social security cover in Phuket and I have a card that says "Mission Hospital" on the front. In the past I have got free health care at that hospital.

I'm in Bangkok for a few months and I have a shoulder problem. Does anyone know if I can use my social security health-cover here in Bangkok, and if so, at which hospital? Or is it locked to that one hospital in Phuket?

Thanks!

Apolgies for the bump.

Anyone? Is social security health insurance "portable" in Thailand between provinces?

You can transfer to another Province/hospital. I think you have to effect the transfer at the hospital you wish to use instead. My daughter did that. I still kept up her voluntary coverage here in Phuket all the time
