But living with mates is a great laugh and no issues as if you want some hanky panky go and have some no jealousy if you want to sit down and be quiet no issues, if you want to smashed always a ready partner to help you. no anniversaries to forget and get in trouble no cr@ppy gifts or cards for birthdays christmas only going out to get smashed no listening to stories about work colleagues only funnies not moaning so many good things Only downside is that erh sorry can't think of any??? !00% living with mates is great... no love, no sex, no hugging afterwards...tiss bliss hang on just like my mrs now Great post, sanook2me! I've said the same thing many times. Once you've raised your children then you're better off living with a good mate. No worries about a clean house. You get to watch sports on TV and not some sappy girlie movie. You can eat out or have take in depending on what either of you like. No need to pay for two and the toilet seat can be always up. The only thing missing is the very occasional bit of sex with the wife, and that can be rectified easily with the many available ladies that always are hanging around... hoping. We met them 7 years ago and he presented himself as her husband. Over the next 3 years, he grabbed as much as he could which was a lot....the lady always turned us for comfort. But when the breakup happened and she left the country...who did she come and visit 2 years later. Him...not us. We also have a Thai lady friend who was introduced to the new Thai gf of an Aussie mate of mine. Speaking in Thai the very first thing out the new gf's mouth was, "I'm gonna grab as much as I can and get out" thinking our friend was her confederate. These are my personal experiences...are they representative of the whole population?....don't know. My own experience with Thailand Elite though is starting to shape my opinion. HKK is a small airport in New Zealand. A much easier route would be too HKG (Hong Kong, Chep Lap Kok Airport) then on to BKK? How do I get her to leave? Women are indeed evil, not only with farang but especially with Thai men. All day nagging for money, that he's too lazy, doesn't take care of them, they're often addicted to sex or gambling and driving the poor man crazy. Gonna call a few mates, I guess 2 or 3 would be great. Let's start a commune of mates. Mate, you want to try the Sungai Kolok to Chumpon slow train! Near 12 hours on a wooden bench and it stopped seemingly every 5 minutes! The only foreigner (usually a good thing) except the rabble that seemed to be getting on were nothing I'd experienced in 10 years of travelling Thailand! Problem is that most dorks in stained armor think they deserve better than a saggy-chested hag with crooked teeth and a big heart. That's where the friction arises. I go out of my way to "ramp up the Thais are good meter" to counter all the people who go out of their way to put down Thai women and Thais in general on Thai visa. My wife has 6 sisters and 2 brothers..all are married..none to farang except my wife to me..all the Thais in her family are good people...save for one "black sheep" ( they say that..not me )..and I think he's okay, but I know why they call him that..and TORRENOVA .. you may believe my posts or not...I DO NOT CARE WHAT YOU THINK..FACT is stranger than FICTION..there are so many good stories of farang and Thai women..but I guess most of those guys ain't on Thai visa..or they don't want to risk getting "slammed" by the "troglodytes" on Thai visa..but I don't care about them.. I care about the farang that may think twice and actually use their BIG HEAD when considering their nearest and dearest. They want to give as much or more BACK TO YOU as they receive..be that LOVE or material things. THATS why Thai women make some of the best wives in the world. My wife had to go back and forth to BKK several times in the visa process for various things and business as well..probably at least 10 times..with or without me, she always insisted on taking the over night bus instead of the airplane ( airplane one hour, bus 12 hours..and a pit stop at CHUMPOON at 1 am with music blaring.. just as you are finally "asleep" ) She has done this at least 8 times on her own the last year. I try to tell her to "take the plane..its not expensive..never mind..tam sabaii..my bpen rai..karunaa!!" but she always says the same thing..." The ones who allow themselves to be taken to the cleaners make it more difficult for the rest of us. You have to remember that so many Thai women think that farang have unlimited resources. They honestly do not realise that once a man's life savings are gone, he will be poor. They just think that we have a money tree or something and it is easily replaced. The amount of Sin sod that so many farang pay is just ridiculous, in some cases more than a village girl could earn in her lifetime. This sort of thing just strengthens the belief that farangs are rich and stupid enough to give away vast sums of money. Yes, there are some women that are not on the take, but all of you that boast about your good wives ask yourself - "Would she have married me if my income was 5,000 Baht per month?" I think that in 99.99% of relationships the answer will be no. If you're honest with yourselves you will accept that the primary factor in her deciding to have a relationship with you was money. Full stop. If you were poor, she would not have looked at you twice. Would my gf be with me if I was poor? I don't try to kid myself. I know that the relationship would never have got off the ground if I had no money. We have a good relationship now, but it has been difficult at times. Now she does realise that I have to limit my spending to stay within my income. That was the hardest thing for her to understand, that a farang only has access to limited funds. You can understand it. If a couple start a relationship in the Uk or other farang country and the man makes a gift of a huge amount of money to the woman early in the relationship. Maybe 100,000 pounds, the woman will think "Wow, this guy is reaally rich" After all, nobody but a total idiot would hand over 100,000 pounds after knowing her for a few months unless he had multiple millions - would he? wolfmanjack Posted June 24, 2009 Share Posted June 24, 2009 incorrect speculation but understandable..Her and I used to fly several times together from Phuket to BKK and vise versa..from nakorn si thammarat to BKK for eg. but after we were engaged a few years ago she insisted on taking the bus to "save your money" If you are with her she will probably be able to overcome the fears - but I suspect she would not be happy to fly alone. Plus the intimidation factor (you are teated as terrorist suspect these days). Bus travel is much more common and fun for most people. And many/most seem to be able to sleep through anything so get a good rest. right. My wife takes the bus down at night so she can get the 12 hours sleep which it seems she needs even here at home but when it is time to come back in the daytime she takes the plane.
