Hello can anyone advise me on the best border to go to travelling from Bangkok to get my education visa and how many days do l need to get it approved, l have all the paperwork from my school WALEN.

also any advice on driving a car from Bangkok to phom pehn is it safe ?? and how many hours would it take?>

You have to go to a Thai embassy or consulate not just a border.

You can go to any of the nearby embassies or consulates. Cost wise for the trip Vientiane Laos is probably the best because can do it overland. By air KL or Penang in Malaysia are good.

If you want to drive I suggest you drive to Nong Kai and park your car. Then go to Vientiane using public transportation.
