naklang
I will be moving over there from the US. I have a B&K AVR507 along with some other HT gear I would like to bring over. Question: Has anyone had LONG-TERM success with converting/conditioning back down to 110VAC/60Hz @ 1200 watts max (AVR507 only)? If so, what brand/combo worked and kept things from getting fried from brownouts etc?
Crossy
The manual for the AVR507 (here http://www.bkcomp.com/fileadmin/content/co..._505_manual.pdf ) suggests it's available in a 220-240V version, it may be adjustable internally, worth getting your local HT chap to have a look. No experience of converters (I come from a 50Hz country) except in Korea where we had endless trouble with fairly big (5kVA) 60 - 50 Hz converters running a VAX 11/780 mainframe
