Ranong Visa Run

Recommended Posts

I used the Andaman Club pier and casino thing this past Saturday.

On arriving back at the pier in Thailand, immigration counter, these guys were a bit rough on most of us and quite surly.

But, the one guy in front of me was a hot blooded Italian. He wrote in the area of what your address will be in Thailand, a hotel name (as I always do, not their business as far as I am concerned).

The first mistake the Guido did was speak in Thai to the cops. He was asked for an actual address, not just a name. He went off. Been here 10 years, he tells them, never had to do this before with an address. The cop almost let him go, but then decided to ask for his phone number.

What number, I do not like phones, Guiseppe tells the cops. I never use phones, they are told.

The other cop comes out of the office, having his somtam interrupted, and with a mouth full of food, throws a large questionnaire at him and tells him to fill everything out.

New law, he is told.

Bruno then tells them that he never uses a number and will not fill it out. How do we contact you, he is asked by the cops.

I tell the idiot to put any number down and shut the fck up.

My turn, I put any address, any number and was out of there.

These guys are tough and can make your life hel_l. No need to antagonize them. A little bs goes a long way in Thailand.
