Seems that getting a Thai DL is easy so why don't all other have one?

Thai Driver License

The paper documents needed to apply for a driving license

1.  Passport with non-immigrant visa (original, before the visa expires)

      and photo copy.

2.  Present resident address certified by the applicant's Embassy and photo copy or work permit or Immigration officer and photo copy.

3.  2 photos 2.5 inches.

4.  Doctor report of doctor treatment (not over 1 month).

5.  For the driving license that a foreign government has given

      (the same type of vehicles that asking for the driving license)

      and it is not expired yet, the embassy can translate and guarantee the

      translating documents into Thai language.

6.  International Driving Permit (convention on international road traffic of 19

      September 1949) original and photo copy which is not expired.

Notice

If you have the document no. 5 or 6, only an eye test required.

If the document no. 5 or 6 is expired, please implement as following:

1.  Training attending (it is allowed forum interpreter to get into a training room)

2.  Written test

3.  Practical driving test each category of driving license fee is appointed from

      Phuket Provincial Land Transport Office.

I know of a moron who let his DL from home expire and failed the driving test!

Got pinched on the way back to Patong. Whilst the Pincher was Pinching the Pinchee the Dump Pinchee let the Pincher see his faild stuff....Not chance for a buy off that I forgot my DL expired.....MORON

So why don't people just get a Thai Lic!

Seems we got and edit and another post about eggs ?? Can anyone comment on the apparent ease of getting a DL w/NonImmi O visa rest of the drivel??? Will you get the card that day? Yeah, let you DL expire and you are a Moron. even thought I will continue to enjoy Honolulu and keep my place here I am always in Patong for Songkron so I have my DL appointment set to work arountd that date.

Can you pay an extra fee and get and extended datge lic?
