Interested in talking to any kiwi's or Aussie's living in Phuket, My wife and I are looking at the possible of retiring in Phuket as we are sick of the cold weather here in New Zealand - 6 deg last week.

I know there are a lot of single men retire in Thailand but it would be nice to know that there are other retired women that my wife may be able to get to know, Or expat clubs in the phuket area.

Our idear would be to buy or lease a house some where in Phuket maybe buy a small boat to do a spot of fishing put my feet up in the sun with a cold beer.

Hi Graham, I am a kiwi from Auckland, and have been resident in Patong (Phuket) for over two years now. I too wanted to move from New Zealand because I had found that the winters were getting longer and colder, and as I got older, I felt them more.

I know a couple of other Kiwis, and a few Australians who live here, however I am wracking my brains to think of any couples who moved here from NZ????

There is a local newspaper which may have some clubs/associations (Rotary or Lions) in it, or may be able to point you in the right direction and it is also online at;- www.phuketgazette.net
