I'm looking at options to buy in Thailand for UK residents and would like views on the best way to finance this.

I'd consider either UK or Thai based companies for this. Typically it would be UK based investors either buying holiday homes or investment properties.

Any views and recommendations would be welcome.

I was told that banks in Thailand which have affiliations with overseas banks/or are present in the UK and Thailand (HSBC for example) will look at lending, secured against the buyers property in the UK.

You might want to check this out with HSBC?????
