My place caters specifically to disabled travelers, most of whom are in wheel-chairs.

I have a modified van for wheel chair travelers.

I know there must be some parking spaces for the disabled, but have no idea where they might be.

As usual the website of the airport is of no help whatsoever, according to their search function, both "disabled" and "wheelchair" are not even once found on the entire website!

Thanks...

In respect to parking, I have walked through the ground floor of the parking garage from gates 1 to 8 at least 20 times in the past 3 years and not seen any designated spaces. I even discovered the little family mart in the garage. Either I am blind or the parking is not marked. I would therefore say that they do not exist. Maybe they have a reserved area on the ground floor near the police offices (in the garage) and one needs to ask when coming in through the security checkpoint.

Yup ^^^, I don't recall seeing designated spaces (but I've not looked for them either).

The lift goes to all levels so once your passengers are in their chairs they have level access to the terminal.

DISABLED PARKING at swampypoom, is in the carpark departures level, next to the access ramp to airport. And beside the lift in carpark.

I have used it may times to park when picking up friends or dropping off.

Thanks for the answers!

I finally had an answer from the airport authority, saying that at the parking level where the walk bridges are between the main building and the parking lot, reserved parking is besides those entrances (where you have the elevators).

They should be kept free by the guards with traffic cones and they should only allow disabled transport on those spots...

So the easy procedure would be to meet up at the revolving door nr. 3 at the arrival level (level 2), where there is a lift, take the lift to level 4 and then roll on towards the walk bridge exit where you car/van is parked!

You should have read my post! Could have saved you calling around,

Most times though you will find them with BMW's and Benz's parked in them.

I have been useing these spots since the airport opened.

Monty have you been here long?

I am always looking for people that cater to the Disabled.

Any info about your company would be great.

Maybe I can be of some help to you also, as I have been travelling around Thailand now for 6 years.

I thought wheelchair bound people, just hooked on to the nearest car bumper and freewheeled where they wanted to go! Seen it many times in suk. :)

Ok! I accept it, I am slime! :D

Just picked up our first customers, and must say it went pretty smooth.

You enter the first parking entrance (marked car park nr.2) and drive straight to where the walkway-elevators are. The security guards immediately removed the barrier blocking the disabled parking places when they saw the wheel chair stickers on the minivan.

Enter airport terminal, go down 1 floor and wait at revolving door nr.3.

When customer arrives, take elevator up 1 floor, go over the walkway and straight into the van...
