Watched a documentary about the Phelps family recently. Believe it was entitled "The Most Hated Family In America" These guys really are full of anger and hate.

Today's news on Yahoo http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090806/ap_on_...chologists_gays reports that the American Psychological Association - the professionals - reported that 'gay conversion ministries' such as Exodus are failures. It recommends that gay believers find a more accepting denomination. Even conservative denominations like Mennonite have 'pink' groups.

Yet here in Thailand, most English language churches are Catholic or Evangelical, and disapproving of gays.

What is not allowed in the US military presently are homosexual people who are found out to be homosexual regardless of sex acts. Don't ask, don't tell. If the soldier tells or it is found out, they are kicked out. Speaking I am gay is NOT a sex act.

AFAIK, it is still grounds for discharge from the US military to say "I am gay."
