Golf Courses Hard Hit By Slump

We were 4 guys playing Mission Hills in Kanchanaburi 10 days ago. Good course, nice staff, 850 baht incl caddiefee.

We saw one other group, they were on 16 when we left 17.

Then we played Nichigo 27 holes for same money the day after. A very good golfcourse. Almost no people.

On our way down there, coming from Chiang Rai, we played the EGAT-course in Bhumipul dam. Paid around 850 for a good golfcourse incl caddie.

Going home we stayed and played Alpine and Highlands, 1050 baht each incl caddie. Both are very, very good golfcourses. The only bad thing was caddies at Alpine, don´t know why but all four was ladies close to the 50 and did not have a clue about what they were doing.

So we were happy golfers playing good colfcourses in Thailand for small money.

I went to play Chuan Cheun yesterday and upon arrival at 9.30am was told that there were no caddies available until 11am. I've never encountered this problem before playing golf in Thailand. Usually at most clubs there are an abundance of caddies waiting around. It appeared that most of them had gone back home and the management didn't bother looking for replacements.

Anyway, we didn't wait around as there were several other groups in front of us. Ended up making the short drive over to Muang Ake Vista and managed to play a round there.
