Went To 7-11

Apparently. Sue is so popular in Bangkok, there are directional signs everywhere on the subway system to find her--with the blatant suggestion of what to do with her once she's found....

Another sign that certainly didn't get run through a native speaker!

toptuan, I've seen that sign many times but never thought of it in that vein before.

Funny!

Likewise--until I ran around on the subway system with a newly-arrived farang from abroad. When he pointed at the sign and burst into a fit of laughing, I suddenly realized I'd been in Thailand too long.... :)

How could they ERECT such a sign?

lol

I went in to my local 7-11, bought a beer, and saw the attached pic hanging over the meat/dairy cooler while waiting for my hot sandwich order...

I was laughing so hard that the counter staff was looking at me and whispering "farang baa" but it was worth it. There are some cute girls there but maybe asking for some "Warm Sausage Service" might be a little too much up close and personal...

Ya gotta love this place :)

Whilst it could be regarded as mildly amusing, it's not really laugh out loud material is it.

here we go again

Try to figure out this one.

Thai readers, don't spoil the challenge.

Here's some obvious ones.

And finally, we all love immigrations.

Perhaps you're right. I must admit that I have no comprehension whatsoever of what the Bran Flakes post is about.

Extra fibre always helps remove whatever is stuck up one's arse. Like that stick of yours.

Some people have a laughing-fit for minutes, others can't see something funny at all by that.

That's one-up alright, but gotta be the same linguist! :)

What's really funny (or pathetic) is that you joined this forum over 6 years ago in 2003 and are still unable to read the very simple sentence in Thai script that says (to paraphrase) "If you buy a sausage (sai grog) they will warm it up for you". They should be laughing at you not vice versa.

funny, or pathetic? Get a life!!! i've been in the land of smiles over 10 yrs, still find lots of notices funny, love the pornsuk u-tit road sign, got any more? So, whats really funny or pathetic is, really, well i think you know, eh?

Not only in Thailand. :)

I think he might be that grumpy guy at Emporium we all grew to know and love.

I think his sausage hasn't had warm service in a very long time

I like.

The English sign was funny to anyone with a sense of humor and without a stick up their butt. :)

What he said.
