What Happens If Visa Valid

hi i have a double entry tourist visa issued at 10th june and enter before 9th september.....i entered on the 11th of june and got my white slip and says until 9th August. Was wondering what happens if i dont apply for my months extension before the 9th of August for i know my tourist visa is valid till 9th of september

It is up to you what you want to do.

You can apply for the 30 day extension and then Exit/Enter 8th September or before and get another 60 days . This can then be extended for another 30 days.

If you want you can just Exit/Enter before 9th August. Up to you.

Don't know what you mean by white slip though.

If you remain in Thailand past the 9th August without getting an extension you will be on overstay and liable to arrest and deportation if caught. You will also be fined 500 Baht per day if you get to the airport in order to leave.

The VISA is a permit to ENTER the country, the stamp you got at the airport is a permit to STAY.

Get the extension

If you want to use the second entry of your visa you must leave and re-enter BEFORE 9th September (that means 8th September at the latest) at which point you'll get another 60 day stamp.

oh ok i think i get you....just make sure i go to immigration before the 9th and get my months extension, and make sure i do my border run before before 8th september and i should be fine

Correct. You can do your second entry on the 8th Sept. or before.

You can apply for the extension a few days early. You do not lose any days by doing this.

Apply for your first extension before 9th August (you lose nothing by going early).

Do your border run BEFORE 9th September and get another 60 days from the date you do the border run (if I've done the sums right your first extension runs out on 8th September, convenient).

Get your second extension any time before the expiry of your new stay.

ok think i got it. Just the first thing i gotta do is get my first extension before the 9th of august for my months extension. The departure card date and the visa date just had me a little confuesed

You Passport will be stamped "Permitted to Stay Until" That is the date you have to leave or apply for an extension by.
