Where to go for a Visa extension if one lives in Rangsit near Future Park, or can one go everywhere in Thailand ?

And does Pathum Thani, the province where Future Park is situated in, has its own immigration office ?

Bangkok Immigration at Soi Suan Phlu. You will probably use the 5th floor offices that take care of area directly North of Bangkok.

Alternatively, go out to the Immigration office in Ayutthia. It's less than an hour from Future Park, the parking is a whole lot easier, and there's NO crowd.

That's what I did a couple months back, and I live out at Klong 10. Several friends in the Klong 3 area also have been to the Ayutthia office.

I waited in line downstairs and took a number.

When it was my turn to extend my tourist visa

they said because of where I lived Pathumtani

(Rungsit) they could not do it downstairs and

sent me to the fifth floor. In and out in 15 min.

Your passport will go from one desk to another

and be recorded in a big book, and you’ll pay

your 1900 baht and your done. Don’t forget

when you fill out your departure card your

visa number will change to the one you

receive that day when you extend.

Its located inside the stamp they put in your passport.

Am not sure what change you are talking about for departure card - as have never used the new type - but the card should remain the same - you have not received a new visa.

I stand corrected. :) It was the reentry permit stamp that has a number on it

in the top left corner box and the immigration officer made me change the number on my

card instead of using my visa number. It was hand written so I could barely read it.

So you entered on a tourist visa, departed with a re-entry permit and returned with that but put the old visa number on the arrival card? And now when extending the tourist visa they noticed it and asked you to change to the re-entry permit number? That sounds right.
