SiamWarrior
Thailand 2007 Water Festival Time I saw hundreds of shooting stars or what looked like shooting streams of light and what I now know as Perseids, when I visited Isan back in 2007. I could'nt believe my eyes and watched from the window for a whole hour, I had only seen before in movies and I was in ore of these streaming lights in the sky. Looks as though it's better to see these in countryside rural areas. Regards Siam
SiamWarrior
NE Thailand is best for this type of thing, but anywhere in the countryside should give you a chance at spotting them !

PST
Saw a few last night around 00.30am,best place to look is the N.E sky, left of the moon.Meteors can appear anywhere in the sky,but the tail will always point to the N.E area. I belive tonight is the main night to view this event,200 per hour at it's peak.Away from built up areas with no light is obviously the best place for a decent view. PST. sunholidaysun1
Does that mean those in L.A. and New York will see them in day light ? Or do they have to wait until its dark, because if we see them now , surely they will have missed them
