Thailand 2007

Water Festival Time

I saw hundreds of shooting stars or what looked like shooting streams of light and what I now know as Perseids, when I visited Isan back in 2007.

I could'nt believe my eyes and watched from the window for a whole hour, I had only seen before in movies and I was in ore of these streaming lights in the sky.

Looks as though it's better to see these in countryside rural areas.

Regards Siam

Saw a few last night around 00.30am,best place to look is the N.E sky, left of the moon.Meteors can appear anywhere in the sky,but the tail will always point to the N.E area.

I belive tonight is the main night to view this event,200 per hour at it's peak.Away from built up areas with no light is obviously the best place for a decent view.

PST.

ok, it's 10:40 here now in Phuket, 8:21AM the 12th in Los Angeles, 11:41AM in New York. They say before moonrise but most references are not relative to Asia, still scouting.

Your not going to believe this , I have just been outside again and looked up to the sky and I think someones stolen the Moon , cant see it anywhere :)

it's rising now. you can see if behind some clouds...

but they say midnight in US 12th, so that would be 2pm here. and, maybe 12 midnight was actually last night. just depdns how you report it. need to find more articles but here are some:

they may passed as well, at densest point, but since it's a large body of debris that takes a long time to pass, e.g. several days/nights, there should still be somehting to at least catch a little of...
