I've heard the new ones are a bit expensive.

Maybe it's best you get the most out of your current one until it can't relieve your itch anymore.

The points are to sharp on this one If I keep if I keep it any longer the scratches will keep getting deeper.

Maybe lot's of bending and stretching of your current back scratcher will take it back to it's former glory. Try putting it over your knee each day to see how much it will bend, you could even try slapping one one whilst over your knee to make it more supple. Some oil might help.

Might be worth it as new back slappers can take a while to 'work in', in the same way as a new pair of shoes would. Hurts your ankles.
