Crime Armed ‘Rider’ Robs Gold Shop of Over 60 Baht in Gold
Picture courtesy of Amarin. Police are hunting a gunman who, dressed as a delivery rider, stormed a gold shop in a Bang Bo, Samut Prakan, shopping mall on the afternoon of 14 August and made off with more than 60 baht-weight of gold. The robbery occurred at around 14:00. CCTV footage shows a tall, well-built suspect wearing a full-face motorcycle helmet, a delivery rider’s uniform and a side bag walking directly into the shop. Brandishing a handgun, he ordered staff to hand over gold necklaces and bracelets, warning them not to resist. The stolen items included several 3-baht and 5-baht-weight gold bracelets and necklaces. After grabbing the loot, the man ran outside to his motorcycle and sped away from the scene. Security guard Chatchai, who was on duty, said he had tried to ask the man to remove his helmet upon entering the mall, but the suspect ignored him and headed straight for the gold shop. “He went in quickly, pulled out a gun and started threatening staff,” he said. A male shop employee added: “The man climbed over the counter and told us to hand over the gold. I told my female colleague to duck down for safety and stepped back when I saw the gun. I’ve never seen him before.” Police forensic teams and officers from Bang Bo Police Station, along with the provincial police commander, attended the scene. Investigations are ongoing as authorities work to track down the suspect and bring him to justice. Adapted by Asean Now from Amarin 2025-08-15 -

Its Time to End the War
Caving to Putin won't bring peace. Only total naive fools don't realize that Putin's goals will remain maximalist and any pause is just a pause until he regroups and goes for more later. To stop Putin and have peace, you need to defeat Putin. -

A great scene in a great movie but comedy and satire doesn't stop genocidal dictators. I'm really wondering considering your POV on Putin what you think that clip means to you in that context. -

Accident British Rider Wheelies into Woman, Prompting Vigilante Attack
Picture courtesy of Pattaya Rescue Pattaya police are investigating a late-night road collision involving a British man on an electric off road bike who allegedly caused injury to a local woman before being assaulted by angry bystanders. The incident occurred at around 23.05 on 14 August in Soi Bongkot 8, Pattaya, Nong Prue, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi. Rescue workers from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation and officers from Pattaya City Police rushed to the scene. They found a pink Honda Scoopy i motorcycle, registration from Chonburi, lying damaged in the middle of the road. Its rider, 49-year-old Ms Jurairat Petcharaksa, had sustained a head wound and multiple abrasions. Rescue personnel performed first aid at the scene, before taking her to hospital. The other vehicle involved was an electric off road bike ridden by a young, unnamed British national. Witnesses told police the man had been performing continuous wheelies along the road, narrowly missing pedestrians, before colliding with Ms Jurairat, who had been riding normally. Bystanders claimed the British rider attempted to blame the victim, sparking anger among onlookers. Several members of the public allegedly attacked him, leaving him injured before police intervened to restore order. Police say CCTV footage from nearby cameras will be reviewed to determine the exact cause of the accident. Investigators have stressed that all parties will be treated fairly as the case proceeds.
