taxidriver
About a week ago, my wife & I had our interview at the Oz embassy and we both felt like it went well. We had her medical done about 2 weeks before the interview and they told us at the hospital that everything went fine, but our case worker said they were still waiting for our medical papers to come back from Australia, is this normal practice?( from hospital to the embassy to Aus and back to embassy). Anyway, our CW realised that she is pregnant and she would tell the decision maker, because time is ticking and she can't fly in the last trimester of her pregnancy. She also said that I should look into whether our child could gain dual citizenship if born in oz, but I've already checked and it can. Well we are waiting now for the phone call, but we wont hold our breath. God knows why they take so long compared to other embassies, how long does it take for a simple yes or no. minbari73
Yes it is normal practise for the medical papers to come back from Australia - after being checked by Aus doctors (its like they don't trust Thai doctors or something)
