What happens if I win?

I play the Thai Lotto, and have won on numerous occasions.

But never more than 20,000 Baht.

What happens if you win the big prize?

Now for smaller prizes, small shops that sell tickets

sometimes will give you your winnings, for a 3% commission.

I have also picked up my winnings at the GLO office

down by the Democracy monument also with a 3% commission charge.

When you win a big prize, say the 4 million type,

do they take your details like name and passport number?

This would adversely effect USA residents,

as you would have to pay 35% tax on winnings even if won outside the US.

Not that I would avoid paying taxes.

Yeah right just wondering.

Has this happened to anyone?

Thanks
