Not as Aspie, but we had quite a few in the school in Virginia in which I was principal for the past 7 years. I guess we had more than you would on average because of the mainstreaming of children, particularly in our system, along with the fact that about a third of our students were gifted (at one level or another...we were a sort of magnet school for gifted, as well as a local school; of course, according to the parents, 100% were gifted when they were talking about their own children, but far less than 5% when they were talking about the children of others).
