Raw Food - Anyone Doing Mostly Raw

Featured Replies

Just came back from the states and tried a raw food cafe! I was blown away and amazed by this whole type of cuisine. I had jalapeno poppers, lasagna, cheese cake, pizza like thing, .. all made from RAW - uncooked, un processed ingredients. The menu had thigns like pumpkin tortellini , pad thai, tom ka, bagel and lox,

For my own food issues this seems like a great way to go..

not to mention I don't enjoy to cook anyway.

However many of the ingredients used are from specialty health food stores which we know don't exist here!

I am wondering if anyone out there in Thai Visa land can share recipies, tips etc. especially with things that are more common here in Thailand.. that are not in the normal raw food "cook books".

I am not looking for a summer salad recipe but some of the more creative items, however without having to go buy a dehydrator, $300 juicer and spiral food slicer (although they are all on the list ..)

I know there is 1 raw food cafe in Bagnkok and one coming to Phuket (yeah!).

Thanks.

Where is the raw food cafe in Bangkok that you know of? I've been to the one at Rasayana Retreat, and it's VERY good. It'd be nice to find another one (or more...)

That is the only one I know of and only by internet. I can't wait to try it when I go to BKK. It is not expensive either! In the states I paid about 850 baht for 1 entree, 1 appetizer and not even a drink!! :)

Second floor of MBK, suprisingly, Ariya Organic Cafe, across from Pizza Company. Excellent raw food creations and juices!
