Beside The Usual Chicken Tikka Masala What Else To Order

Recommended Posts

I tried New Delhi the other day the meal was superb.

I'm new at Indian food, anyone else recommend a mild dish beyond Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Tandoori?

To be honest you would be extremely unlucky (lucky) to find a 'hot' curry here.

The hottest I have tried is the Hinlay Chicken Phall, which would probably struggle to make it as a Madras strength curry in the United Kingdom.

Happy to hear if anyone has found a good hot curry.

As an alternative to meat, try two types of Dhals (lentils) with eggplant and another vegetable dish and eat with simple plain chapaties.

Suggested side dish: plain yoghurt. Add some to your eggplant dish. Or Raita (yoghurt with shredded cucumber and diced tomato and spices)

Desert: Ross Gulah (variously spelled on menus.

Not every restaurant has this but it's my favorite. Soft squishy balls of curded milk in syrup.
