Red shirts to rally Saturday despite ISA's enforcement: Jatuporn

Pheu Thai Party MP Jatuporn Promphan said the red-shirt people will hold a mass rally at the Royal Plaza on Saturday despite the enforcement of the Internal Security Act in Dusit district.

Jatuporn said he believes the red-shirt people would fill the ground at the Royal plaza and spill over to the area in front of the Sisao Theves residence of Privy Council President Prem Tinsulanonda.

Jatuporn said the rally would end at midnight.

In time for the rioting to start in earnest at 1 am...

And so goes the dance of the demented.

It could be an interesting Saturday. Reds in BKK, Yellows standing between two jumpy armys, and heaven only knows what the boys in the southern provinces have lined up for the day.

Why would we have to worry about the Reds in Bkk on Saturday? After all, they are just a bunch of peaceful law-abiding pro-democracy non-thuggish people. I don't understand your worry about the reds at all.

Yes Scott you're right, it's becoming ridiculous a moratorium on protesting would be welcomed by 98% of the thinking population I guess. When "freedom" is endangering it should be curtailed, period.

Golly gosh guys, hopefully TV's 'crack' reporter Lefevre will be Johnny on the spot again, heaven knows how many red protesters were 'gunned down' at Songkran according to Mr L's report.... Haven't seen any reports for a while, perhaps he's embedded again for a live rouge blow-up by blow-up report...

Seriously though, here's hoping for a non-event next week (no matter how improbable) and may Thailand finally be 'permitted' to go forward.
