Non-immigrant ed visa re-entery

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I am going to Korea for 3 days and I am holding a Non-Immigrant ED visa.  I am going to submit my passport to my school after I come back from Korea.  Problem is; since I dont have the extention stamp, can I apply at the airport for the Re-Entery permit and get back into Thailand on my current Non-Immigrant ED visa?  (No it's not multiple re-entery  :o )

In case that it wont be possible, does anyone know how difficault it is to get the ED Visa when you are not in your home contry? (Like in Korea)

Any help would be greatly appriciated.

I just went to the airport since I just HAD TO KNOW! and asked at the RE-ENTERY counter.  They said I can but not until I check in of coz...

Although some seem adverse to using immigration headquarters you could have gone there and obtained the re-entry permit prior to travel.  You do have to wait about two hours to get passport back but I find it much less stressful than doing the last minute airport thing.

true... I think this panic I had today shortened my life expectency by AT LEAST two years!

Get that extension when you get back, and get a multiple entry re-entry permit at Suan Plu. Stay younger longer    :o
