Depends what it is that you want to ship.

Duty rates vary as to the commodity being imported. Lots of paperwork for big/expensive items, easier to get an import agent to do for you as they have their connections at the customs dept.

Nearest international port to Bangkok is Bangkok, though Laem Chabang is the main port.
