Have a toshiba dual drive Qusmio lap top about 2 years old bought at pantip as a runout model. A while back 1 vertical line appeared increasing to a few hundred multi colored as the number one drive started making "crunching noises" and finally failed yesterday although running fine on second H/drive. Dont want to chuck it out as the lines are only annoying on a black screen (rare) what could be the cause and is there a fix?

will do, only have a camera phone so will post several pics in the morning. sounds very mysterious what do you mean ? tilting screen back and forward?

it will show if the issue is the connectors in your hinge- a common problem for laptop screens. Sometimes simply moving it a little back or forward fixes the problem, and sometimes it does nothing.
