Here's a shot of the latest fire du jour, taken this evening: I've counted 5 or 6 different ones in the last few days. All very close to settled areas down low on the slopes. There were clouds at the eastern area of Mae Rim and some thunder. The clouds didn't look very heavy but they are on the way to what looks like the T. San Pi Seua area AND getting darker. I thought Sunday was one of the worst days I'd ever seen for smoke in the air here. Going up to Mae Rim today was even worse. fwiw, there was lots of drizzle north of Mae Rim this morning. But it will take more than drizzle to cool the air and put out those fires. And does anyone really believe that someone can predict the weather 5 and 6 days out????
