Have You Eaten At The Hard Rock Cafe?

Yes, but I was hoping the quality of the food would justify the prices. It was a little better than your average place, but twice as expensive.

Burger and chips: 95 baht at Crazy Daves and great entertainment; 'Only Fools & Horses'.

Why pay more in Pattaya?

You can take the boy off the farm but you can't take the farm out of the boy. I'm still an old farm boy. I don't enjoy five star hotels or fancy restaurants. I'm much more comfortable at a small pub or a guest house. I'd rather eat at Bob's BBQ than Hard Rock.

Is what I meant - if you go to the Hard Rock, don't expect prices,

quality and atmosphere like at "Bob's BBQ"...

Oops, isn't there another topic started by the OP regarding the prices and quality at bobs bbq. :)

That answers one question about why to go. I went there in the daytime and there were no other customers. I did not know that they have live bands.

isn't that what the HRC is all about?

Anyways, I agree that the place is overpriced for what it is.

Prices there are high, but not outragous. Ate there a few times since 2004. Arguably a taste of America if you want that. The bands have been ok. Dining area is small. First time there I actually got sick for a day. Don't think the cheeseburger was cooked well enough. As I recall they had crappy coke. Got the root beer bottle I think? Alfredo something or other the second time was good. Seems like the waitresses spoke better than average english, if you care about that. Can't really recommend it. Can't really recommend against it. It is what it is.

Food made you sick, crappy coke, high prices, the Bands are just OK....and you don't think that's outrageous? What a mild mannered chap you are. :)

I've always found the Cafe part of Hard Rock expensive for what you get, the Hotel part on the other hand - all you can eat buffet with free flowing beer, whisky, wine and soft drinks is great value for money, i am not sure, but looks as though they are being run as two completely separate entitys??

Foreign food is just disgusting in Pattaya. All of it. The thai food makes you have diarea all the time. 2 words: COOK YOURSELF

:):D .....Funny post. I take it, the poster was being ironically facetious rather than genuinely disparaging???

If he was being quite serious then he obviously hasn't got a clue and I am sure that restaurants......

Casa Pascal/ Brunos/ Mum Aroi / Royal Cliff Grill Room / Cherrys etc.. etc.. et alia. would also

point his deluded mindset to the right direction. :D

Anyways, quite a funny post, either from the perspective of a "facetious ironist" or a "mumbling nitwit"....

I agree, HR is a ripoff. I pretty much don't eat in 5 star hotels or any hotel for that matter. Most are not very good. Sleep in them but eat some where else.
