October 6, 200916 yr hi all, can anyone help please. my g/f and i are both hiv positive. and the thing is my g/f has been asked to produce a hiv test certificate. lokking at the laws i would say this is not legal. Does anyone know and is there anyway she can keep this a secret as it is a recent development and we are still getting use to it ourselfs. Thanks to any advice, tommy
October 6, 200916 yr This would be considered discriminatory under Thai law. No employer has a legal right to request an HIV test and/or the results thereof. (Unless in the Middle East of course where you would be tested anyway without consent if you want to stay and work in the country.) She/you can decline to divulge that info.
October 6, 200916 yr If an employer asks for this, dare say if you refuse - they already have decided they will not hire you.
October 6, 200916 yr Quite likely; but they will and can not use this as the reason, they usually find something else...
