I have noticed recently upon swimming in the sea close to the Beach House hotel that close to the shore there are small brown "floaters". I have ignored them for the first few days, but yesterday there were a lot more and a lot bigger. Surely it's not what I think it is?

Yep....raw sewage is often pumped into the sea. I've seen

some pipes on chewang beach.

This time of year , you have spawning & this stuff floating in the sea.Seen it before .

Just imagine they are floating sea slugs!

saw a few ripe ones bobbing around off maenam beach the other day , that soon changed my mind about a swim.

Try smelling it.

It is an algea and appears every year. Chaweng has it as well.
