Good evening one and all.

Well it's that time again, another extension. I am in Nonthaburi so going to use the Bangyai office as instructed, has anyone got any information about the staff and their frame of mind. Is it good or not there?

I have got the following documents together, by the way under 50 years of age, and British.

a. TM7 printed on both sides

b. Photograph

c. Copies of Passport, including photo page, Visa page, previous extensions page.

d. Copies of Arrival card.

e. Copies of Marriage certificate

f. Copies of The document from the Registry office (Khor Dor 2)

g. Copies of affirmation to Marry

h. Copies of my house registration document (Yellow book)

i. Copies and original Letter from Embassy confirming Income

j. Photos including those from Marriage, Engagement, Birthdays and photos of the condo where we live

k. Maps to the Condo

l. Copies of wife's ID card

m. Copies of wife's house registration document (Blue book)

n. Copies of certificate showing wife permission to change her name after marriage.

I will present 2 copies of everything to the Officer as well as my Passport. Wife will be in attendance as well as the 1900baht for the extension.

Have I forgotten anything?

Sounds like more than enough to me if you have submitted the same documents before. I would provide the form/photo copies of passport/arrival card, Embassy letter and her ID/Home register and let them ask for the others. I would have a bank passbook with me just in case they want to see some evidence of your supporting the wife. And be sure the photo is new (although some places are also taking computer shots when you apply now).

I am using the letter of income, surely a bank book is not required. What if my bank was outside of Thailand?

In that case save and copy your ATM slips, so you can show you withdraw money here. They might want to see it. Some offices do, some not.

Thanks for the info Mario, but I do have a savings account here with money going in on a regular basis, will copy the bank book and use that instead of giving them overseas bank details.

Pictures of your home as well...

The office being in the middle of nowhere and still not having a photocopy machine, double check your documents.

If you are ready for a beer after this... fell free to PM, I am living next door :)

There will always be an under review period with such extensions of stay - only the retirement one can be handled immediately. But the delay also applies to those who do in Bangkok.

Looks complete to me. Take original documents with you as well. Good luck!
Good point

I just done mine at Chok Chai and theTm7 had to be filled in twice, no copy. My wife also had to fill out a questionaire, also twice. Due to her declairing our 3 children, they wanted to see copies of their birth certificates and copies of photo's with either me or the wife along side the children. This is in spite of us having all 3 children with us at the time of applying. Final thing was a photograph of me and the wife together, no copy. The photo was none returnable even though we made a request.

Sorry to Hijack this

Bang Yai Immigration ?????

Where is it and can I do my 90 day reporting at this office ?

Drive to Bang Yai shopping every week.

Thanks

Edit: Did a Google search but nothing found

That is the office for reporting for those living in Nonthaburi now.

If you check pinned items/useful information at top of forum you will find a map of all immigration offices (Google) which will get you to it. It is back in the rice fields.

Many thanks, must more or less go past it on the back roads to Carrfour every week

Went today to get my Non Immigrants O extension based on marriage, was hardly anyone there, but only 2 officers actually working there. Had to wait a while, then they asked my wife some questions, but did not ask me anything, as they do not speak or understand very much English.

Was given a stamp in my passport to return on 28 Dec to find out the results, however one of the officers gave me the telephone number and told me to ring it just in case it was early.

By the way got lost going there, took the turn before I should have, ended up in the sticks, but if you see the temple then you have past the Immigration office, head back towards the main road and you should see it.

Also I asked about 90 day reporting, the officer told me 7 days before and 7 days after.
