4 districts in Surat Thani declared flooding disaster zone

SURAT THANI: -- The provincial administration here declared four districts as a disaster zone.

The four districts are Chaiya, Tha Chana, Don Sak and Chai Buri.

The provincial administration said the floods affected 144 villages in 18 tambons and caused a total damage of Bt15 million.

I am surprised Kanchanadit did not flood, that low lying area often does. Don Sak is where the car ferries run from, but I haven't heard of any delays so perhaps it doesn't affect the main road?

I headed south from Dongsak a couple of years ago, talk about low lying areas, all flooded including the road.
