Glad To Be In Thailand -vs- Cambodia

Featured Replies

So that VISA is gonna cost US $ 25? Turn that into 1,600 Baht! The guy at the embassy collecting what, half?

Then that 200 Baht "stamp fee" to get the entry & exit stamps at Poipet.

It is a pleasure dealing with Thai officials - they give an overstay fine receipt and have yet to inflate fees.

So are you glad to be in Thailand or Cambodia?

why would you pay it if it was such a blatant ripoff ??? and is this a cambo visa or thai ? you are not real clear on what you are ranting about here.

I think you will find he is refering to the Cambodian visa , he does not need to go through all of that agro , to him , just get an e-visa via internet and do all of the paperwork at the border himself , just ignore the tout who thinks you cannot even write in English .

Of course he could just move , no visa runs called for here , just a slow stroll to a travel agent ONCE A YEAR with no hoops or a small fortune in a bank .

Sorry for the confusion - it was a rant against Cambodian government employees at the embassy and at the border.

And a note of appreciation to Thailand's.

Chris

Fly in to Phnom Penh next time and you will find a 100% difference , or go to lao .
